Paul Vettise is a highly-respected freelance racing journalist, broadcaster
and pedigree analyst with 30 years experience in the thoroughbred industry.
He is a regular contributor to specialist racing and breeding publications
and pedigree advisor to commercial and hobby breeders alike.
A former two-time President of the NZ Racing Journalists' Association,
he is contracted to several leading stud farms to service all their
media requirements.
His overseas racing travels have taken him to the Epsom Derby, Royal
Ascot, Melbourne spring carnivals and to the United States.
Business interests have included a partnership in the internationally-acclaimed
computer bloodstock program TesioPower. He is also the current New Zealand
agent for the authoritative European publication Timeform.
Paul Vettise Racing Ltd was established in 2002 and has since successfully
offered media and pedigree advisory services on an international basis.
The company also owns and operates the website-based speciality mating
service Siremate. It has been developed for commercial stud farms to
assist with the marketing and promotion of their stallions. Siremate
can offer new and existing clients the opportunity to view test-matings
of their mares with resident stallions via the farm's website. It is
the ideal tool to increase website traffic and a cost-effective way
of reaching out to the broodmare market. As a promotional tool it has
the potential to significantly increase stud business in these competitive
times.
